This committee serves as the official source of hospitality and information for the Clive Chamber and community at large. The Ambassadors foster an enthusiastic, welcoming environment towards new businesses and Chamber members and encourage their active participation within the Clive Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors are expected to attend a majority of Chamber functions and events such as Ribbon Cuttings, Membership Luncheons, Business After Hours, Lunch and Learns, and Clive AM Connections.
This committee is responsible for creating a public identity for the Chamber through the development and implementation of a marketing plan, new branding initiative (logo), social media, and updated website design. A main goal for this committee is to provide economical and effective promotional opportunities for the membership base through a wide variety of resources. The committee also develops the concepts and image for all materials used in membership recruitment efforts and assists in the publication of monthly newsletters and press releases.
The Events committee provides several excellent networking opportunities for the membership base on a monthly and annual basis. The two major annual events include the Annual Membership Recognition and Celebration Event and Wild Wild West Golf Outing. The committee also lines up a full calendar of monthly membership/business programs such as Business After Hours, Clive AM Connections, Lunch and Learns and Membership Luncheons. Other responsibilities of the Events Committee include partnering with the Partnership for the Chamber Night at the I-Cubs, Iowa Speedway and Iowa Barnstormers, and a variety of other events.
This committee monitors City Council meetings, Partnership Legislative meetings, assists the City of Clive with economic development projects such as the 86th Street Corridor, and updates the membership/board on current issues accordingly. The committee organizes local legislative forums around topics of interest (economic development) to the Clive business community as well as legislative campaigns.
The Membership Committee is involved with the recruitment and retention of the Chamber membership. The committee helps to organize the annual Membership Drive. Members also actively pursue input from the membership base to ensure the Chamber is providing high quality programs and services targeted to the needs of the Clive business community.
