On the first Friday of every month, join the Iowa Center for Economic Success to hear the savvy, successful business owners + entrepreneurs of Des Moines share their story. In a laid-back environment, you’ll catch some words of wisdom from women + men who have been through it before—and maybe walk away with a new connection (or two).
Sessions are completely free and open to the public, and are held from noon-1pm. This First Friday will be held at The Iowa Center, at 8345 University Blvd, Suite 1F. Seating is first come, first served. Lunch is not provided, though we encourage you to bring your own if you’d like.
On July 7, we’ll hear from local business owner, Leng Vong Reiff.
About Leng:
Multi-tasking, it’s one of life’s great challenges. But, if you’re Leng, then it’s a piece of cake. As a marketing professional, Leng provides digital marketing services such as web design and SEO, graphic design and traditional marketing services to a host of various clients. Leng started Akili Design & Marketing Services in September of 2007 with a focus to serve small businesses. In addition to her expertise in online marketing, she is skilled in managing budgets and tight timelines; all which ultimately serve her clients’ goals and creates seamless and smooth project coordination.
Leng graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in design and a degree in journalism/ advertising, where she focused on statistics. She also has minors in art history and Spanish. She says she is very fortunate to be working in the field she studied.
In addition to her multi-faceted degree and background, Leng is a multi-award winner, including the prestigious, American Marketing NOVA Awards and a national PPFA Award, ADDY Awards and ADIA Awards. Akili Design & Marketing also has been honored with CityView Magazine’s Best Of Des Moines – Top 3, Best Marketing Agencies – for three years running.
A Urbandale, Iowa native, Leng resides in Clive with her husband and two boys: Logan and Quentin.
