Venture School, a nationally recognized program for entrepreneurs developed by the University of Iowa’s John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, will return on February 2, 2016, at the University of Iowa’s Pappajohn Education Center at 1200 Grand in Des Moines. Venture School increases the chances of a startup or new product launch’s success by helping teams align their businesses with the critical needs of their customers.
Unique to this Venture School cohort will be the participation of teams from five cities adjacent to Des Moines. These early registrants are joining Venture School to learn more about supporting entrepreneurs and startups in each of their cities. Clive Mayor Scott Cirksena said, “The City of Clive is committed to supporting innovative techniques to generate opportunities for economic development and job creation in our community and the Greater Des Moines Metro Area. The University of Iowa Venture School is an opportunity for the City to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit critical for any thriving economy and community.”
